Dragon Quest Tact introduces a new crossover alongside some in-game events in the latest update

Square Enix’s popular spin-off of one of the most legendary JRPG series of all time, Dragon Quest Tact, has announced a small bit of new content coming to the game in honour of their massive February updates across all of their mobile games. This one introduces a log-in event and a crossover with one of the lesser-known Dragon Quest spin-offs, Monster: Joker, that introduces a new unit to recruit as well!

Dragon Quest Tact is, as the name implies, a strategic tactics genre mobile variant of the popular franchise. This means that, as other tactics games do, the game centers around a grid-based and turn-based style of combat, putting your chosen units and party onto a battlefield divided into squares, where you’ll have to tactically move about and utilise abilities, items, and normal attacks. Think of something like Fire Emblem: Heroes or War of the Lions for a good comparison.

And now there’s a new reason to log in on the daily, as up until March 6th, you can get five Sweetheart Chocolates just for logging into the game. These can be used up to 100 times to regain your stamina, allowing you to keep playing content nearly endlessly, and will also hand out a smattering of other rewards such as free premium currency and upgrade materials too. It’s basically a free handout of expensive and grind-heavy items, so don’t miss out!

Finally, we’ve got the crossover with the DS-exclusive Dragon Quest Monster: Joker, which not only gives you appropriately themed quests to play through but also gives you a new A-rank character, Wulfspade, who’s ripped right from DQ Monsters!

This is one of the smaller updates featured in Square Enix’s massive February updates for all their games, but still, it does offer up a fair bit of new stuff to do and collect. If you want to check it out yourself, you can download Dragon Quest Tactics for free at either of the links below!
