Dragon Ball Legends just surpassed 2.5 million pre-registration participants and it's still going

After we got our hands on Bandai Namco's upcoming fighter Dragon Ball Legends we knew it'd be seriously popular. After reaching 2 million pre-registration participants not too long ago, the game's just surpassed 2.5 million and then some.

If you're a fan of the Dragon Ball series or previous video games, you'll probably be interested in the upcoming fighter. Go head-to-head with people across the globe in this 1-v-1 fighter. With its slick 3D graphics and battle animations, ease of control, and a cool original storyline featuring familiar faces and a brand new one too, hopefully it lives up to its promise.

Bandai Namco's pre-registration campaign is undoubtedly a success across all platforms, and the more people that sign up, the bigger the reward will be. So far there are plenty of in-game extras to get excited about and, having reached 2.5 million participants with ease, shooting for 3 million (and those extra 100 Chrono Crystals) shouldn't be too far off.

When we checked the game out at GDC, we said, "All in all, Dragon Ball Legends is shaping up to be a very exciting game. It's fast, brutal, and intense, and its global PvP capability means that hopefully never be short of people to punch in the face." Hopefully it lives up to expectation come release day.

Though it's not been officially announced, Dragon Ball Legends should be coming to iOS on June 14th. Realistically, its Android release should happen simultaneously, but there's no official confirmation of it yet and dates can always change.
