Following in the footsteps of Half-Life 2 and Portal, Nvidia has managed to scoop up another monster first-person shooter from yesteryear. This time, it's Doom 3.

This is the BFG Edition, which takes the original Mars-set monster blaster and adds new checkpoints, achievements, and - most importantly - an armour-mounted flashlight so you can actually see what you're doing while in combat.

You also get the original Doom and Doom II games, and a new eight level chapter for Doom 3 called The Lost Mission.

Unfortunately, you'll need either the Android Shield console, or the 10 inch tablet to play the game as it's not compatible with the old clam-shell Shield portable. You'll also need 4GB of free space, and about £7.99 / $9.99 in your wallet.

You can grab the game off Google Play here.
