Cave is going down the cutesy path with new iOS and Android vertical shooter-RPG Don Paccin

Given that Don Paccin is phonetically similar to Cave's well-known DoDonPachi series, you may expect it to be a daunting vertical shoot-'em-up.
You wouldn't be too far wrong.
As you'll soon discover after clicking on the embedded trailer below, though, Cave's in-production Don Paccin is very, very cutesy.
You'll also notice that Cave has seemingly given birth to the 'shooter-RPG' concept here. Probably without even trying.
According to Siliconera, you see, you will be able to upgrade your ship over time in Don Paccin. Which runs counter to all of Cave's many other shooters.
There will reportedly be a fuel system in Don Paccin, too. This means that you will only be able to travel so far in levels before you have to refill your tank.
Apparently, you will also be able to collect random items for a quick boost of firepower or speed.
Little else is known about Don Paccin at the moment, except that it's in development for iOS and Android. We'll let you know more as soon as we are told more. That's just how it works.
