Disgaea heading to Android on May 16th as a free download

Disgaea, one of the best Japanese tactical role-playing series, will be winging its way over to Android next week. To make matters even sweeter, it’ll be available as a free download.

Before you cry out in ecstasy and alarm all your work colleagues/school mates sat around you, please note that the title won’t be quite the full Disgaea experience.

Instead of following a grand plot, Disgaea for Android focuses entirely on the Item World from the main game - randomly generated dungeons that were originally used to upgrade the various weapons found in the main game.

Apart from that, it looks like it’ll play out in exactly the same way as the full fat Disgaea if the screenshot is anything to go by, albeit with in-app purchases.

Disgaea for Android will be available on the Android Market for free from the 16th of May.
