Digimon ReArise is a new Digimon RPG, pre-register now on Android and iOS

Digimon ReArise is an upcoming RPG that will feature 5v5 battles throughout its expanding story, as well as against other Digimon Tamers across the globe. If a mix of solo and multiplayer modes, all taking place within the Digimon universe, is appealing to you then you can already pre-register it over on the App Store and Google Play Store.

The game's story will centre on the discovery of a new Digimon called Herissmon - who looks a little like a punk rock-loving porcupine - and a mysterious threat known as Spirals. You and your new partner will face off against this new threat alongside 'familiar faces'. That probably means you can expect Gabumon and Agumon to show up at some stage.

In future updates, a number of multiplayer modes will join the single-player. Players will also be able to fight with other Digimon Tamers against powerful enemies in a series of co-op focused Clash Battles. You'll be able to battle your team of Digimon against other Tamer's teams in the Battle Park, but this feature is currently looking unlikely to be available on the launch date.

If Digimon ReArise receives over 500k global pre-registrations then those who opt to pre-register will receive a special DigiEgg that will become a Pumpkinmon, a pumpkin-headed Digimon who has deemed it appropriate to lodge its own axe into its head for safekeeping. Global players will be able to Digivolve their new pumpkin-centric pal to Mega before the folks in Japan, where the game has been out for over a year.

ReArise is slated to be released later this year, with no official date announced yet. However, the App store and several other storefronts say it is expected on 21st October, which makes sense given the Halloween theme of the pre-register bonus. The game will be free to play with in-app purchases and you can pre-register on the App Store and Google Play.
