Wales Interactive announces trailers and playable demos for FMV games Deathtrap Dungeon: The Golden Room and Night Book

Wales Interactive has released teaser trailers for two new titles, Deathtrap Dungeon: The Golden Room and Night Book, with playable demos now available on Steam. The announcement comes as part of the Steam Next Fest and Xbox Summer Game Fest demo events to give players a taste of what’s to come from the award-winning UK-based developer and publisher.

Based on the classic gamebook by Ian Livingstone, Deathtrap Dungeon: The Golden Room is an interactive movie that puts players in the shoes of the Brave Adventurer on a quest to the Golden Room. You’ll have to pass the tests of the Trial-Master of the Dungeon Vhaidra, as well as survive any encounters with the deadly Bloodbeast along the way. There will be multiple endings to explore in this cinematic interactive fantasy, and with the CGI Virtual Set technology used in The Mandalorian, it’s bound to be an immersive experience.

Occult psychological thriller Night Book, on the other hand, follows the story of Loralyn, an online interpreter working the night shift from home. She is soon tricked into reading ancient text that summons an unholy creature, and is now faced with an impossible choice - does she sacrifice her father, her fiance, or her baby in order to survive? Or does she sacrifice herself so she can keep her family safe?

Both Night Book and Deathtrap Dungeon: The Golden Room seem like they’re shaping up to be highly engaging FMV games we can only expect from Wales Interactive. There’s no official release date for the narrative-driven adventures yet as of this writing, but both titles will launch on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and iOS soon. In the meantime, you can check out the official website to stay updated on the latest developments, or give the playable demos a go on Steam.
