If we've learned anything from zombie games, from The Walking Dead to DayZ, staying in groups has its ups and downs.

Chances of survival are better with a team, but it can also be risky. How many of your friends can you actually trust?

Dead Cells, a new zombie survival game from Motion Twin, weaves trust and betrayal into the very fiber of its mechanics.

In a battle to be the last one standing, waged against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse, you have to choose if and when backstabbing is beneficial. If not sooner, then later, but it must be eventually - there can only be one winner.

In the meantime, you and your friends will need to work together to build up your fort, earn loot, and kill zombies. Will you strike against them when no one is looking, or strategize to have the zombies do your dirty work?

Read more about Dead Cells on its official website.

There is no word yet on release date or price, but it will be available on iOS, Android, and PC/Mac web browsers.
