Darkfire Heroes is a new action RPG from Rovio, the studio behind the Angry Birds series, and it’s out now as a soft-launched title in selected territories and will be receiving a full release in April.

The game is a fantasy RPG all about team building, wielding magic and making strategies to achieve victory. Here, strategy and skill are king as you assemble a squad of heroes and lead them into battle against evil minions, brutal bosses and otherworldly beasts.

The game has a big immersive single player campaign, filled to the brim with hundreds of levels across breathtaking locations. If you’re looking for some competition, however, the real-time PvP arena offers exciting combat against friends and opponents from all over the world.

Darkfire Heroes has an endless amount of tactics available for those who want to use the vast roster of heroes to their maximum potential. This includes magic spells, unique hero skills and powerful gear you can collect and equip.

While you may know Rovio for being behind the Angry Birds franchise, Darkfire Heroes is actually the first release from its studio located in Copenhagan. This developer is focused on creating accessible mid-core RPGs with a Nordic twist.

It is currently in soft-launch in Canada, United States, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom, Israel, Philippines, and Thailand and has evolved a lot over its time in this state.

You can download Darkfire Heroes now if you’re located in one of these territories by grabbing it from the iOS App Store or Google Play for Android. If not, you’ll have to wait for the full release coming in April. It’s a free to play title with in-app purchases.
