Traditional board games aren't for everyone; they're a hassle to set-up and take up a lot of room.
But DICE+, which launched today, solves those problems while maintaining the tactile delight of rolling a physical die.
As we noted in our E3 2012 coverage, DICE+ is a bluetooth game die that hooks up to any bluetooth-enabled device. This means that you can you can play a board game on your device, while still getting the physical feel of rolling dice.
The current selection of games that are compatible with DICE+ for iOS and Android might be limited, but popular board game franchises will added to that list over the rest of 2013 and 2014.
The development kit is yet to be released as well, and when it does you can probably expect to see developers creating many more titles that are compatible with the die.
