Crap! I'm Broke: Out of Pocket is sort of like real life: you play a man who's low on funds, leading to unpaid bills, Sainsbury's Basics food, and a succession of horrible jobs.

Budgeting and performing the six different jobs is a little more fun than doing it for real, thankfully, but the thought of doing these things in a game world - an existence I usually enter to escape reality - is an odd one.

Developer Arcane Circus says it's an abstract satire. While I couldn't quite see the satire present in my short demo, I did love the distinct, angular art style.

If you like the look of Crap! I'm Broke: Out of Pocket, you can check it out for real when it's released on iOS and Android in October 2016, for £1.99 / $1.99.
