Gorgeous steampunk puzzler Clockwork looks to merge Braid with The Swapper
Time for a puzzle?
New Aussie studio Gamesoft - not to be confused with old Frenchie studio Gameloft - has unveiled its first game: a time-bending puzzle platformer called Clockwork.
You play as a boy called Atto who, thanks to his clockwork companion Milli, can duplicate himself and manipulate time. Which should set up some wacky puzzling antics, inspired by games like The Swapper and Braid.
The game's also got an interesting story. It takes place in the mechanical city of Watchtower, where a plague has forced survivors to scramble for shelter behind metal walls and metal bodies.
And it looks gorgeous, as you can see in the first trailer above. It's coming to Xbox One and PS4 as well as iOS and Android, so you should expect the full console experience.
Clockwork is out sometime this year.
