In the first official Clash Royale live tournament, organised by developers Supercell in Helsinki, over 200 of the games top players gathered together to compete for a €15,000 prize pool.

Despite players flying in from around the world, ultimately it was local talent which dominated with all four semi-final spots going to Finnish players and a local player named Jason ultimately beating out Steroidi69 comprehensively in the final.
The event was streamed live on Twitch and YouTube, drawing an online audience of literally millions (Twitch showed over 2.6M views with 65K concurrent viewers for the final, YouTube had 50K+) and together with the recent VainGlory world tour shows that mobile games can play a big role in the esports world.
