In addition to the balance patch which launched yesterday, Supercell has released a surprise update for Clash Royale today that includes six new units, live spectating, and additional rewards.

The new units include three Legendary cards (Lava Hound, Miner, and Sparky), and one each Epic, Rare, and Common cards (Guards, Furnace, and Fire Spirits respectively.)

Rewards have also seen a massive boost. You'll now earn gold every time you win (even if your chest slots are filled), and the maximum amount of gold you can store has been increased to one million.

Crown chests also contain much more than before and Giant, Magical, and Super Magical Chests having an increased chance of dropping.

Your donation requests now increase with higher Arena ranks, and Legendary cards will appear in the Card Shop once you hit the Legendary Arena.

Friendly Battles can now be watched live and you can also see battles from any arena on TV Royale.

Other new features include the ability to emulate anyone's Battle Deck from their profile, new Clan Badges, new Tournament Rules, and new Max Levels.

The full patch notes can be seen here and are well worth reading because they're likely to change your existing strategies.
