Sega's line-defence RPG Chain Chronicle arrives in the west on iOS and Android
Wave after wave
Gumi Inc. has released Sega's line-defence RPG Chain Chronicle in the UK, US, Canada, and Australia on iOS and Android today.
It was originally released in Japan and hasn't been available anywhere else since, until now. It will be coming to more countries soon.
Chain Chronicle has you in control of five units trying to defend a base behind them against a wave of Black Army enemies. The base represents their home continent of Yggdra.
Most of the action takes place on a 3x3 grid but you can move your units outside of it if you wish.
You can choose between Soldier, Knight, Archer, Wizard and Cleric classes. Each of them have their own Special Skills that can be chained together with different units for bigger effects.
Gumi has also released Chapters 5 and 6 with the game today that pushes the heroes' tale along further.
You can download Chain Chronicle for free on the App Store [download] and Google Play [download]. It is supported by IAPs.
