Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies finally shambles onto Android devices
Reports of haddock vampires unfounded
If you think the Google Play Store is smelling a bit more rancid this morning than it did on Friday, that's probably because Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies, which won a Silver Award on iOS, shambled its way onto Android over the weekend.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies is currently an Xperia exclusive, but in thirty days' time the rest of the Android gaming world will be able to get their hands on the blood-splattered shooter.
As well as featuring three maps (Kino Der Toten, Ascension, and Call of the Dead) for its FPS mode and offering up fifty levels of top-down shooting in the Deap-Ops Arcade mode, the game lets four players co-operate to survive over wi-fi.
One major addition to this Android version is the in-app purchase system, which lets you buy "CoD Points" to spend on items, weapons, and second chances in the single-player campaign.
Although you're not compelled to shell out for, well, more shells, the introduction of IAPs is an interesting move given the game's already-pretty large price tag (£4.99 / $6.99).
You can pick Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies - which is optimised for the Xperia Play - up from the Google Play Store by clicking on the hyperlink at the end of this paragraph [buy].
