Square Enix has launched the Android version of Big Hit Baseball over the bleachers and into the Android Market today.

Big Hit Baseball takes a more cartoonish brush to America’s favourite pastime, featuring huge hits (with suitably flashy text prompts), 20 fictional teams from America and Japan, and a Big Hit Championship to play through.

I gave it a quick whirl earlier, and while the swipe controls and graphics seemed fairly decent on the Galaxy Tab it’s worth noting that I managed a whopping 14 runs and five homers on my very first innings, so I don’t think baseball veterans will find it too taxing.

Still, if the idea of a more relaxing take on the game tickles your fancy, you can either download an ad-supported version (link) or stump up £2.50 for the paid-for variant (link).
