Each week we like to run through the mobile games we've been enjoying the most over the past seven days. This week we've got an epic sci-fi adventure, a slick PvP shooter, a jolly cooking sim and more.

This slick and entertaining multiplayer dogfighting sim has you swooping around in various propeller-driven planes, taking out your fellow pilots.

One of the best examples of the humble cooking sim we've seen in ages, Meshi Quest: Five-star Kitchen engenders that sweet sense of panic that only a harassed sushi chef could fully understand.

Gemini Rue-developer Wadjet Eye knows a few things about the classic point-and-click adventure genre. Technobabylon tells a brilliant tale of sci-fi intrigue for fans of Gibson, The Matrix, and a whole bunch of other dystopian fiction.

Here's another platformer that lifts many of its tricks from classic Mario games of old. There are just enough twists on the formula - not to mention some beautiful graphics - to make this worth a download, though.

Our second platformer recommendation of the week is a little quirkier than the first. Portal Walk has an unusually floaty movement system that simultaneously makes it trickier and more interesting than many of its rivals.
