Halfbrick has announced that its painting-ripping puzzler Bears vs. Art will be out all over the world for iOS and Android this Thursday. That's April 30th if you prefer the magic of numbers.

Bears vs. Art has been in soft-launch for over a year now so we have a pretty good idea of what it's all about.

In brief: you fling a bear around art galleries to tear up the paintings hanging on the wall. When you reach a painting you even get to swipe the screen to rip it into bits. Satisfying.

However, it's not as simple as all that. Rory the bear, the star of Bears vs. Art, has to be launched from wall to wall, unable to stop in between.

This makes navigation a little tricky. And combined with the time limit you'll find you'll need to work out the most efficient route from painting to painting.

On top of that, levels add ninjas and thieves that get in the way, security guards that need to be knocked out, lasers to turn off, and visitors to avoid.

We quite enjoyed it when we checked it out a year ago. So hopefully it is even better now. We'll find out in a couple of days.

Bears vs. Art will be free to download on both iOS and Android. Check out its website for more information.
