Bad North: Jotunn Edition, Raw Fury's beautiful rogue-lite strategy game, is available now for iOS and Android

Raw Fury's minimalist RTS is available now for iOS and Android. The newly ported version of the game comes also with the Jotunn content straight out of the gate.

If you've never played Raw Fury's excellent Viking tactics game, now might be a good time to jump in. So long as the mobile port turns out to be solid you'll be able to get the game for a third of the price of the Switch version.

In Bad North, you're tasked with defending various islands from Viking Invaders. You'll delegate responsibilities to your commanding officers and they'll carry out your orders to the best of their ability. You'll have to consider the shape and elevation of each island when planning your strategy.

It's also worth nothing Bad North is a rogue-lite so if any of your commanders fall, they will be lost forever. That means all the investment you may put into upgrading their abilities could be lost in a moment of madness in the midst of battle. Don't worry though, if that sounds a little too stressful, the mobile port of Bad North comes with the Jotunn Edition content where you can work around this.

The Jotunn Edition content originally came to other versions of the game earlier this year as a free patch. It bought new enemies, items and hero traits to the game. It also added options to make the game both easier and hard, giving players more options for difficult their experience would be.

In terms of easier options, it allowed you to opt-out of the 'Iron Mode' nature of the normal campaign whilst also adding Checkpoint Islands that would act as a safety net so you wouldn't have to entirely start anew.

Bad North is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It's a premium game that costs £4.99
