Known for its fast-paced games, the one-man developer OrangePixel's latest game, Ashworld, is very nearly within reach and hopefully there's not too much longer to go.

Originally announced last December, Ashworld (initially Ragelaw) is an open-world game which mixes shooting, driving, and a little bit of platforming too while we're at it.

Inspired by Mad Max's universe, you're thrown head-first into an apocalyptic world filled with two types of humans. One type tries to rebuild civilisation. The other, called Ragers, are just out to maim, kill, and have a good time. There's also the Skellies which are night-walking undead-ish creatures which won't be too pleasant to run into unarmed.

According to OrangePixel's blog post, Ashworld tries to work on not getting lost in an open world. The game will have its storyline and general missions, but there'll also be alternate missions which don't go along with the story, but help the world get a little better.

Ashworld is aiming for a December release on iOS and a January 2018 release on Android. We'll keep you updated when we know more.
