MoreFun Studios Group, a massive mobile game developer and publisher, has launched the global beta test for their upcoming highly anticipated free-to-play tactical shooter Arena Breakout. Inspired by the likes of Escape From Tarkov or the more recent DMZ mode for Call of Duty, this highly realistic shooter takes you to the Dark Zone, where you’ll either become a master and collect a huge amount of loot, or die in a gunfight and lose it all.

Arena Breakout is a bit of a first for mobile at least, as it takes the super tense style of the high-risk-high-reward gameplay of Tarkov and transports it to phones. This means that every piece of gear you use will be important to survival, as a singular bullet between the eyes could spell the difference between escaping with a backpack full of goodies or losing every bit of what you came into the instance with.

Think of it somewhat as a roguelike, as you’ll collect loot and - if you manage to escape with it - will stash it away for later use. You get to decide what you want to bring into each run, and it’s up to you if you want to engage in the PvPvE combat or skirt around the edges picking up the scraps for a higher chance to survive. The most important part of this formula is the knowledge that, if you do die, you lose every bit of what you’ve collected and also what you came in with.

This genre of shooter has become a bit of a hotspot for the genre, and it’s easy to see why. The thought of losing everything makes every engagement feel risky, and you’ll have to pick and choose each battle for your best bet at survival.

And now, gamers all around the globe can give this unique mobile FPS a go for free by participating in the global beta test. If you’d like to do so, you can sign up for the test at the official website.
