Spacetime Studios's new fantasy MMORPG Arcane Legends has completed its quest to reach the Android marketplace. Yes, you can now download it from Google Play.

The latest entry in the Legends series (which includes the vampire-themed Dark Legends and the space-based Star Legends) features some classic RPG staples: swords, sorcery, and dungeons full of lootable goodies.

This time out, however, you'll be treading this somewhat-familiar ground with an animal companion at your side. As it transpires, the fate of the realm of Arlor is inextricably tied to the actions of you and your bestial buddy.

Luckily for you, these creatures aren't just a drain on your stash of Scooby Snacks. Each creature has its own combat abilities, and provides your warrior, mage, or rogue with much-needed power and stat buffs during scuffles.

Saving the world isn't easy, mind. Sometimes, it's handy to have some backup.

Thankfully, Arcane Legends lets you team up with other players across Android and PC, meaning you can deliver a group smackdown to the game's tougher foes.

With Spacetime Studios promising "days" of content, RPG fans might want to head over to Google Play and get a head start on Arcane Legends. It's free, so there's no harm in trying.
