Intense hack-and-slash Apocalypse Max hits Google Play next week at last

Four years after its iOS debut, Apocalypse Max: Better Dead Than Undead is making its way to Android at the end of the month.

Having been awarded Pocket Gamer's prestigious Silver Award, Apocalypse Max has been well overdue on Android for some time now. For those who don't know, the game follows Max, a lone survivor of the zombie apocalypse, as you attempt to tear through 20 levels of sheer chaos alive.

With 16 types of zombie, 18 unlockable weapons (including knives for you more intimate zombie-killers), and nine worlds to get through, it's an unmissable hack-and-slash that you'll probably need to own at one point in your lives.

Though still quite a steep price on the App Store (sitting at £14.99/$19.99), it's clear that you guys think it's well worth the money as its 553 reviews sit at four stars or above, alongside a glowing reception from gamers, reviewers, and journalists alike.

Android users, it's our turn to play so get excited for August 31st when the game goes live. Don't worry, we'll let you know the moment it drops so you can get on it like a car bonnet…in the zombie apocalypse.
