"Now I ain't sayin' she a gold digger (When I'm in need),
But she ain't messin' wit' no broke, broke (She steal me money).
Now I ain't sayin' she a gold digger (When I'm in need),
But she ain't messin' wit' no broke, broke."

Anybody with even a passing interest in popular music will be able to identify the above four lines as the chorus to hip-hop superstar Kanye West's 'Gold Digger' anthem.

Now, far be it from me to suggest that Mr West is a raving hypocrite, but it does seem slightly fishy that out of all the mobile gaming companies the famously outspoken rapper could align himself with, he chooses to sidle up with Rovio.

Yes, that Rovio. A.k.a 'Team Licence-To-Print-Money'.

Renowned for his collaborations with the likes of Rhianna and Jay-Z, Kanye allegedly got together with the high-flying Finnish development team in London earlier this month.

According to (British tabloid) The Sun's source, in fact: "Kanye met the Angry Birds creators at a late-night meeting in the capital. It was his idea. They brainstormed ideas and talked about ways they could work together."

Kanye is well known for hooking up with successful brands outside the music world, including trainer manufacturer Nike and fashion designer Louis Vuitton.

The question is, what could these two titans of entertainment be cooking up? Should we expect Kanye West tracks to feature in the next Angry Birds update? Or can we look forward to a whole album of Angry Birds-inspired ditties?

Can't wait.
