Another avian adventure? Affirmative! Angry Birds Friends comes to iOS and Android on Thursday

Are you the greatest fowl-flinger of your friends?

Have you mastered every level of Angry Birds, Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Space, and Angry Birds Star Wars?

If so, start flexing your flinging finger because Angry Birds Friends will land on iOS and Android this Thursday, May 2.

We already knew this was coming, but Rovio took to its Twitter on Monday to confirm the exact release date of the game.

Angry Birds Friends offers gameplay rather similar to the original Angry Birds, with a few social tweaks from its Facebook days thrown in for good measure.

Players can compete directly against their friends for the coveted glory of a high score, for example.

Should bragging over first place lose its luster (not likely), you can also send friends "mystery gift" power-ups to help them clear troublesome levels.

Based on the teaser image below, however, it looks like Rovio knows what the real draw to Angry Birds Friends will be: the sweet, sweet bragging rights that you can lord over your friends.
