Huawei confirms more Android handsets in early 2010

What with the recent launch of the Motorola Droid and the pant-wetting excitement of Sony Ericsson's X10 announcement, there's been plenty to talk about lately in the crazy world of Google's Android operating system.

The good news doesn't end there, though: Chinese manufacturer Huawei has made public its intention to release more Android-powered phones over the next six months, following on from the recent launch of the company's Pay As You Go T-Mobile Pulse.

The Pulse is the first PAYG Android handset available in the UK, and if you've already scrutinised our review you'll be aware that it's pretty damn good, too. This naturally bodes well for future products from Huawei.

Details on exactly what devices are expected are thin on the ground, although the firm has said that the phones will be launched in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

It's also unknown if these new products will be PAYG propositions or if they will sit at the more expensive end of the scale, but the proposed markets would suggest phones that won't require you to sell a kidney in order to afford.
