Happy Wednesday, one and all. I don't know about you, but I'm enjoying this last little lick of sunshine before a rainier week sets in AND enjoying my first coffee in almost a week. Goodness me.

As you'll know if you're a regular on Wednesdays we like to have a look at the various updates swinging around the place. While there's not a huge selection this week, you'll definitely have enough to tide you over until the next batch rolls in.

From slippery feet, new genres, brand new levels, and more, take a look to see which one of these updates takes your fancy.

1
A Story of a Band

If you're an old-school player of A Story of a Band you'd best read the fine print before updating your game. Though you'll be getting a good number of bug fixes, tweaks, and new bits to enjoy, according to the patch notes your old save games/achievements will no longer work.

As for the fun part of the update, the game'll begin in 1965 as opposed to 1975, will feature four new genres, 40 sub-genres, stadium tours, new end-game challenges, and a whole lot more.

Alphabear 2

After not too long out on the market, Alphabear 2's recent update isn't one to snuff at. From now until further notice, each Thursday and Friday there'll be special events to earn epic and legendary bears for your collection.

Kicked off yesterday, you can now take part in the Honey Pot special event where you can pick up coins, cloth, and plenty of honey. You can read more on it right here.

Angry Birds POP

If you've been waiting to reap more from Angry Birds POP, you'll be pleased to know what's on offer for you this past week.

As well as being able to take part in special events, Rovio added a whopping 40 new levels to the fray. It might be getting nippier, but it's not winter yet, folks.

Fortnite

  • Platform: iOS/Android/Switch

You may have read about this one earlier, but version 6.01 of Fortnite had two particular points to get excited about. Just in time for the frost, you've got the new 'Chiller' trap to freeze the feet of your allies and enemies. Doing so reduces grip and can send them hurtling off a ramp.

There's also more for the limited-time Playground mode. Though there's no specifics you do have more to play around with, including starting health, gravity, and time of day.

Identity V

Alright, jumping the gun here for Identity V's update. If any of you caught the news yesterday, you'll know that the update's due out tomorrow and, ooo, it's a big 'un.

As I said, there'll be three points to look forward to. A new Hunter called Wu Chang will be entering the game, a new map called Moon River Park, and a new mode called Duo Hunters. You can read our article here for more detail.

Jetpack Joyride

After a good few periods of tweaks and fixes, there's new content entering the fray and it may be one of the most entertaining additions yet.

You can get your hands on a new Jetpack – the Big Bertha Jetpack – which is udderly ridiculous. In celebration of the item, there's also a new bonus background where you can nip past Bertha's gorgeous green home.

Pako 2

If you've been waiting to hear more about Pako 2, you'll be pleased to know you're getting new content in this update.

With three new cars on offer and one new level, there's plenty to do. In Suburbia you'll be able to drive around a new town split into two by train tracks. Tree Men Games has also brought back the much-loved Chase Cam.
