If, like I, you're a massive fan of Ripley and the entire Alien universe, the recently released Aliens: Colonial Marines on home consoles won't have likely scratched your extraterrestrial itch.

Luckily for you (and me), then, Team 17's Silver Award-winning top-down shooter Alien Breed is now available on Google Play for £2.99 / $4.99.

Alien Breed, you see, is a lighthearted tribute to James Cameron's Aliens. In it, you're tasked with moving through levels and eradicating any otherworldly beings across which you stumble.

This Android version of Alien Breed features six classic levels taken from the game's original Amiga release, 12 special edition levels, and a further four entirely new levels.

You can play through all of these stages in two different modes: Classic, which features Alien Breed's original graphics and controls; and Enhanced, which is packed with shiny new visuals.

You can grab Alien Breed from Google Play right this second.
