MWC 2015: Samsung's Gear VR Innovator Edition works with the new S6 and S6 Edge
Smaller, more accessible
Samsung has announced that the new Gear VR Innovator Edition will work with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
This should open up Samsung's entry into the grown virtual reality headset game up to more people. The first iteration of the Gear VR was only compatible with the Galaxy Note 4, you see.
The Innovator Edition has a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display making it 15 percent smaller than the previous Gear VR (which was 5.7 inch). This change is, presumably, due to the S6 and S6 Edge being notably smaller than the Galaxy Note 4.
It also has redesigned straps to go around your head, and can now be powered with its USB port, which should mean it lasts longer while you play with it.
