Reality television ranges in quality from rubbish to complete mindless tat. Probably at the top of the pecking order are the likes of Big Brother, Wife Swap and Castaway (the first series at least). Then there's I'm a Celebrity Get Me out of Here and Shipwrecked, which fall into the 'just about acceptable to watch when you're sick or hungover' category.

Then you start stirring up the real dregs - for example, Celebrity Love Island, Vanity Lair, Temptation Island, that programme where the guy has to choose whether to date a desperate 20-year-old or a desperate 45-year-old one who's had a lot of work done (actually that one was quite good) and America's Next Top Model.

It seems though that quality of subject matter isn't something that's going to hold back Eidos, which has just announced UK publishing rights for America's Next Top Model - the programme nobody watches for any other reason than the promise of the odd bitch fight and some nudity.

The DS game lets players take control of one of ten aspiring coke-fiends supermodels then compete in a variety of categories which include Make Up, Fashion, Catwalk and Photoshoot.

Using the same formula as the TV series, one model is dismissed in the game in each virtual week following a special challenge. Your goal is to make sure it's not you.

If you're interested, America's Next Top Model will be released on DS in the UK on November 7th. We look forward to seeing which reality TV programme will get the DS treatment next. Not, obviously.
