Orange and Lexis Numerique have announced a new detective adventure that combines traditional gaming with smartphone apps, social media websites, and even web TV.

Entitled Alt-Minds, this episodic paranormal thriller unfolds across Europe as you attempt to solve a series of mysterious kidnappings. You do this by conducting various real-time investigations via traditional and casual mini-games on your smartphone, tablet, computer, and favourite social network.

You'll have to interact with other players (or investigators) from around the world if you hope to crack the case.

"Our partnership with Lexis Numerique, a pioneer in transmedia fiction, has allowed us to combine gaming, online, TV, and social networks to create a new type of multi-media experience for our customers," Jean-François Rodriguez, Orange's head of games and transmedia, said.

"For Orange, this is an opportunity to show that the tools we offer artists can be used to bring something new and very exciting to the public."
