And possibly the iPhone?

Age of Heroes Online MMO heading for European mobiles

Nomoc, the publishing parent of Russian mobile developer Qplaze, has released its 2008 financial data (which isn’t easy to decipher unless you’re one of those tube travellers who reads a big pink newspaper and looks down upon the little people). It shows a small decrease in mobile profits over the 2007 period.

But Nomoc is quite rightly optimistic about 2009. It lays out its intentions to get right back on top, which we must admit to being quite excited about. Primarily it intends to open European and ‘English-speaking territories’ servers for its massive mobile MMO hit, Age of Heroes Online.

This online mobile multiplayer recorded over 20,000 subscribed players at the beginning of February ’09, and offers Russian and Ukranian players a free three week trial followed by a subscription featuring 30 different forms of micro-transaction.

What’s even more interesting is that Nomoc announced it intends Qplaze to release 25 new mobile titles in 2009, and will “mount the best products from its catalogue on Apple App Store”.

Presumably Qplaze’s hits don’t come much bigger than Age of Heroes Online, so hopefully the company’s exciting entry into the iPhone market will include this massively popular MMO title.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
