Qplaze has unveiled an all-new 3D installment in its Age of Heroes strategy/RPG mobile game series.

It's been logically named Age of Heroes 3D, and it promises to keep the depth of previous games in the series, with a bunch of new visual touches.

For example, you'll be able to rotate the camera to see the area around your hero and find hidden objects, and the maps will be bigger, meaning longer quests.

You'll also be able to let off all manner of exciting 3D magical spells. However, the new 3D approach means you'll also have to deal with altitude – being slowed down by water, rocks and tree obstacles.

Otherwise, expect the same blend of tactical scheming, battles and a suitably heroic storyline. Slightly confusingly, a 2D version of the game will also be released for handsets that can't handle the 3D one.

Heaven knows what it'll be called: Age of Heroes 3D: 2D perhaps?
