London based Synoptical Studios has revealed its debut game, Aerox, and early screenshots are certainly impressive.

The iPhone ball roller mixes platforming action with physics-based puzzle solving as you roll a sphere around beautiful looking 3D worlds.

The game looks to push the simple pleasures of accelerometer-powered tilt controls, the likes of which have been seen in games like Labyrinth and Little Metal Ball, into the third dimension.

Shiny, shiny

The game promises to pack in 30 original levels with a variety of traps, puzzles and obstacles, plus global leaderboard support.

Perhaps most impressive however, is Aerox's collection of graphical tools that should pump out some jaw dropping graphics. These include advanced lightning, detailed shadows, reflections and complex physics.

If you're running on 3GS, you'll be treated to even more eye candy with realtime reflections and 60 frames per second gameplay.

Synoptical Studios says the game is in the late stages of development and is expected to hit the App Store in May or June.
