FDG and Exe Create unveil RPG Across Age

So far, it's been Korean publishers such as Gamevil who have been making the best iPhone role-playing games, but now it seems Japanese developers are getting in on the act.

Slide To Play has tracked down Across Age, an RPG from Japanese studio Exe Create and German developer/publisher FDG Entertainment.

Described as a fifteen hour action RPG with time-travelling elements, you take control of two characters, a swordsman and a time-travelling mage. You toggle control between these two depending on the situation and which skills you need to use.

In this way, Across Age sounds like an interesting mix of an action puzzler with more typical role-playing features such as item collection, levelling up, melee combat and spell casting.

Also significant is the reported $9.99 price tag, which if true - and Across Age was out now - would make the game the one of the most expensive on the App Store.

One time $9.99 games such as Real Racing and The Sims 3 have reduced their prices to $6.99.

Across Age is due out in later in 2009.
