Acer's 7-inch Iconia Tab delayed until second half of 2011
Postponed but not forgotten
Taiwan-based manufacturer Acer has delayed the launch of its 7-inch Iconia A100 Tab to the second half of this year.
This news comes from Engadget, who queried Acer's PR team following a rumour from a Polish website that claimed production of the A100 had been cancelled.
Acer itself is yet to announce a reason for the delay.
The detailsAlong with its bigger, costlier 10-inch brother – the A500 – the A100 made Pocket Gamer's list of the top 10 upcoming Android tablets.
The A100 will pack a 1024x600 TFT display, capable of 1080p video playback.
It will also feature Google's Honeycomb (bespoke tablet) OS, a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 512MB of RAM, and 8GB of storage.
You'll be able to pick it up for around £300.
