US exclusivity holder for the iPhone AT&T has been chatting with IndustryGamers about the company's interest in the gaming sector.

AT&T executive director of gaming, Glenn Broderick, revealed the company's intention to relaunch its game section with a 'three screen focus'.

“My gaming team was formed in 2007 to figure out what to do with these tens of millions of customer connections with respect to gaming," Broderick explains.

The relaunch of the service provider's website network intends to provide a more consistent experience between PC, TV and mobile - with a plan to bring them together as a unified platform.

"What we're doing is trying to incentivize [gaming companies] to take some risks by tethering mobile games to console or PC experiences," he says. "It's not an easy sell - it's a risk in an already risky business, but we have programs in place to help them offset that risk."

This new plan aims to position AT&T as the market leader in the 'clown-based space', as Broderick puts it. given that World of Warcraft and Xbox Live already host with AT&T, this certainly doesn't appear to be an empty claim.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
