It's only been a month since the release of Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning Scribblenauts Remix for iOS, but US developer 5th Cell is already preparing to release another title onto the App Store within the "next month or so".

Speaking to Game Informer, CEO Jeremiah Slaczka revealed that the company - while not releasing many titles this year - had been busy expanding - it's now 65 people strong.

They have been working behind the scenes on unannounced titles, with the as-yet untitled iOS game presumably the first to arrive ahead of other formats.

Something new

The game won’t be another (semi) port of an existing title though (Scribblenauts Remix being a rejigged version of Super Scribblenauts from the Nintendo DS).

Instead, Slaczka revealed the the game will be "completely new".

He also spoke, in abstract terms, about what is really important for great games, saying - "My big buzz word lately is 'compelling'.

"You need to create something compelling for people to take interest in it, for people to want it over something else. That means it should be an idea people are excited by when they see it, so it’s got to be a good idea and it needs the financial backing to be executed well."
