|
iOS + Android + 3DS ...

Welcome to our weekly round-up of the best deals in pocket gaming. As ever, we've got some bargain picks for you that will be difficult to resist.

It works like this: each week we bring the best deals in handheld gaming, predominantly covering the latest discounts for iOS and Android gamers.

We also cover a few deals on smartphones themselves, as well as a selection of handheld offers. Basically if it's portable and cheap, we're looking out for it.

iOS games

If you haven't played either of the Banner Saga games yet, you're missing out - even if RPGs don't ordinarily float your boat. Now's the time to make up for lost time, with both games on offer.

  • Banner Saga for £4.99 (was £9.99) - buy
  • Banner Saga 2 for £4.99 (was £9.99) - buy
  • World Cruise Story for 99p (was £4.99) - buy
  • Pengy Has a Dream for 99p (was £1.99) - buy
  • Paul Pixel - The Awakening for 99p (was £1.99) - buy
  • Her Story for £2.99 (was £3.99) - buy
Android games

Point and click adventure games and relaxed puzzlers are well represented on this week's Android deal list. Oh, and a little crazy golf for when you need to give your brain a bit of a break.

  • Hook for free (was 59p) - buy
  • Samorost 3 for £1.59 (was £3.99) - buy
  • The Inner World for £1.29 (was £2.29) - buy
  • OK Golf for £1.59 (was £2.59) - buy
  • Dokuro for 99p (was £1.49) - buy
  • Swaperoo for 10p (was 79p) - buy
Smartphone deal of the week

Any who have been watching out for a Google Pixel price drop since it landed towards the end of 2016 will have been frustrated. Google's classy flagship has stubbornly retained its premium price.

That's why this deal is so noteworthy. You're getting £200 off what many still regard as the finest Android phone on the market.

Handheld deals

TumbleSeed is a really original, really challenging arcade game with roguelike elements. It's one of the best download-only games on the Switch, and it's currently on offer.

Puzzle & Dragons is one of those Japanese phenomena that never quite translate to the rest of the world. That doesn't mean this match three dungeon crawler isn't good fun, though, and 3DS owners can currently get a good price on a hefty two pack.

  • TumbleSeed on Nintendo Switch for £8.03 (normally £11.99) - buy from Nintendo
  • Puzzle & Dragons Z and Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros on 3DS for £7.99 (£7 off) - buy from Argos
