The best deals of the week in handheld and mobile - May 2

We all like cheap games
Product: iPhone, iPad, and Android game sales | Format: Android, iPhone, iPad, 3DS

It's that time of year when the public holidays are almost as numerous as the sunny days. Even more so if you're British.

What to do with all this extra free time, eh? You know what we're going to say to that. Yep - play some mobile and handheld games.

As ever, we've got some top deals for you iOS, Android, and handheld gamers.

iOS games

We've got quite the varied mix of iOS deals this week, whether you're a fan of left-field boardgames, hardcore autorunners, 3D racers, or retro action games.

  • Tokaido for £3.99 (was £6.99) - buy
  • Cafeteria Nipponica for 99p (was £4.99) - buy
  • Platforms Unlimited for free (was 99p) - download
  • Paul Pixel - The Awakening for 99p (was £1.99) - buy
  • Rush Rally 2 for 99p (was £1.99) - buy
  • Retro City Rampage DX for £1.99 (was £3.99) - buy
Android games

We've got a similar mix of boardgames, cars, and adventures for Android gamers - but the precise identity of the games is largely different. We're all about the variety.

  • Tallowmere for 89p (was £3.89) - buy
  • Motorsport Manager for free (was £2.29) - download
  • Retro City Rampage DX for £1.69 (was £2.89) - buy
  • Agricola for £2.49 (40% off) - buy
  • Final Fantasy VI for £7.49 (50% off) - buy
  • Exploding Kittens for 10p (was £1.69) - buy
Smartphone deals

It's not an out and out flagship phone, but the Sony Xperia X is another strong, competent handset from Sony - and it's a lot more appealing at this lower price.

Elsewhere, we've got a fine 2016 flagship phone for a good chunk of money less than usual. The Moto Z was recently one of our sub-£400 smartphone picks, and here it is for just such a price.

Handheld deals

We've got a great deal on a brilliant 3DS JRPG this week. Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is an enhanced port of a 20-year-old Sega Saturn game, and one that will feel quite different to your average hand-holding modern RPG.

  • Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers on 3DS for £22.99 (usually £30-£35) - buy from NISA Europe
