If you're a 3DS-owning fan of tough-as-nails retro platformers and you live in Europe, we've got some great news for you.

The Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning Yumi's Odd Odyssey will slingshot its way across the pond on April 24 and arrive as an eShop exclusive.

One notable change is that Yumi's will regain its original title and will thus be known as Sayonara Umihara Kawase, which publisher Agatsuma Entertainment describes as "a rubbering action."

Nothin' fishy here

While the title's changing as Yumi swings across the Atlantic, one aspect of the game that remains untouched is its price: €24.99 or, roughly, £21.99.

While that price is a bit steep for many gamer's tastes, it's about right for the connoisseur-level of gameplay that Yumi's / Sayonara Umihara Kawase offers.

In our review, we called Yumi's Odd Odyssey "a charming platformer with a ton of heart" but we cautioned that "its charms wear off quickly" thanks to a brutally steep difficulty curve and lack of unifying story.

Still, this might be one to keep in mind if you're a fan of retro platformers and like the idea of sending Japanese teenagers flying about levels of improbable terrain with magical fishing lines.
