One of the key publishers on the DS, Ubisoft plans to continue its strong support for Nintendo handhelds with the release of hardcore titles for the 3DS launch.

Talking to UK trade publication MCV, UK sales director Darren Brown said it expected to be the dominant thirdparty publisher.

"We will have six to eight of the key launch titles on 3DS, so we are expecting anywhere between 25 to 30 percent on the platform," he said.

Ubisoft has announced it's working on at least five brand new games, including some of its biggest core brands such as Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Ghost Recon, Battle of Giants: Dinosaur Strike and Driver.

DS franchises such as Rayman, Real Football, and the Imagine and Petz series are also expected to make an appearance 0n 3DS.
