A little 90s nostalgia as The Legend of the Mystical Ninja arrives on Nintendo 3DS

In this week of awesome mobile game releases, handheld consoles have been a little quiet bar the release of the Twitch app for PlayStation Vita. Nintendo relieved us yesterday however by releasing a digital download of The Legend of the Mystical Ninja on 3DS.

As with most action/platformers there's a minimal plot where you, Goemon, have to rescue of Princess Yuki and complete a bounty of levels and fun minigames.

Released in the early 90s on Super NES and ported later on Game Boy Advance, and the Wii U, The Legend of the Mystical Ninja is everything we love about classic gaming.

So if you have the newest Nintendo 3DS and love retro gaming head over to the Nintendo digital site now and pick up a copy for $7.99.
