Nintendo treated us to a tasty morsel of Sushi Striker goodness in the shape of a new story trailer that gives us a bit more background on what the game is all about. Sushi Striker, which is set to launch next month, is shaping up to be a silly puzzle game that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but packs quite a punch with its frantic sushi swapping gameplay.

In the world of Sushi Striker, sushi has been forbidden by an authoritarian regime. Musashi, the game’s main character, has had enough, and so sets out to overthrow the dictator’s unjust rule by eating as much sushi as he can possibly muster.

As you can see in the trailer, you must feed Musashi sushi at a comical rate, saving the empty plates so you can sling them at your enemies to defeat them. Once you tire of liberating your country, you can try you hand at the game’s online multiplayer.

It’s certainly going to be a busy summer for Nintendo fans. Sushi Striker launches on June 9 for 3DS and Switch.
