Nintendo confirms Super Mario Bros 2 and Metroid 2 for 3DS Virtual Console
More classics come to virtual console
Nintendo has announced that Game Boy oldies Super Mario Bros 2 and Metroid 2 are going to be available on the 3DS Virtual Console this winter.
In case you're not au fait with Metroid’s convoluted timeline, Metroid 2 takes place after Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and before Super Metroid.
This is from a simpler time in Samus's life: all you have to do is kill Metroids. Any indigenous fauna that get in your way become collateral damage.
Super Mario Bros 2: 6 Golden Coins is the game that introduced us all to Wario. It's also a great improvement over Mario’s first foray into the Game Boy world.
