The original creator of Skylanders is developing a new 3DS Skylanders game
Due out later this year
There'll be another entry in the Skylanders canon later this year. And guess what? Yep, it's being developed by series creator Toys for Bob.
As our sister site PocketGamer.fr notes, that can only mean more toys as well, then.
The last Skylanders game on which Toys for Bob worked was Skylanders Giants for home and handheld consoles. We weren't entirely impressed by it, to tell you the truth. Mainly on account of some technical issues.
Anyway. Activision recently published an infographic with a timeline of the Skylanders franchise. As of February 2014, the whole franchise (that includes games and toys) has generated $2 billion in revenue.
No wonder there's a new 3DS Skylanders game and toy line in the pipeline, then, eh. You can see the infographic below.
