The much-delayed Rodea the Sky Soldier was first announced for the Wii over four years ago. Since then, it's often been regarded as vapourware thanks to no solid release date.

Fret not though - it's finally been penned in for a Spring 2015 release date for 3DS and Wii U according to scans of a Japanese magazine article that have surfaced online.

The developer, Prope, is best known for StreetPass Mansion on 3DS and puzzle-platformer Ivy the Kiwi? available for DS, iOS, and Windows Phone.

Prope happens to be the studio Sonic the Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka set up after leaving Sonic Team.

Rodea the Sky Soldier is most certainly a title to keep your eye on if NiGHTS into Dreams... and Shadow of the Colossus are your cup of tea.

Stay tuned for more details.

Much ta, Lite Agent.
