After announcing that it would bring its ambitious crossover strategy RPG Project X Zone to the west, Namco Bandai has some good news for its fans: the game should arrive with its content more or less in tact.
Speaking with Siliconera, a Namco Bandai representative said that "the game will feature the same characters from the Japanese version" and "the content of the game should [be] the same as the Japanese version."
The "should" is a little worrying, but it's a good reassurance that all 50 or so playable characters from Sega, Namco Bandai, and Capcom made it through the licensing talks in tact. Now hear this
When we reported on Project X Zone's release on Monday, we noted that it would probably not feature an English voice track.
Namco Bandai confirmed that this would indeed be the case, and that the western release of Project X Zone will use the original Japanese voice acting with English subtitles.
We still don't have a more solid release window for the game past "Summer 2013", but we'll keep you updated as soon as we know more.
