Pansy and Viola are two gym trainers from Pokemon X and Y

The latest issue of Japanese magazine CoroCoro includes pictures and details of two all-new Pokemon gym trainers you'll meet throughout your adventures in Pokemon X and Y.

First off, there's a friendly-looking female trainer called Pansy, who will make an appearance in the ever-popular Pokemon anime series alongside two of her favourite brawlers (Gogoat and Helioptile) on July 18th.

Another trainer, Viola, is also shown. According to Official Nintendo Magazine, Viola is a bug-type trainer, and resides in the Hakudan City gym.

The critters rule

In the latest edition of the magazine, a new Pokemon called Shishiko (Japanese name) is shown. Shishiko is a black bear cub and fire-type Pokemon that uses Battle Cry to cripple the attack power of the enemies he faces.

Then, there's bug-type Pokemon Vivillon, a butterfly-esque critter that evolves from Kofukimushi and Kofuurai. Again, those are the Japanese names of each Pokemon.

Finally, the magazine makes reference to a critter called Furabebe. Not much is known about this cute-looking fairy-type pocket monster other than the fact that it can utilise a move called Fairy Wand.

Pokemon X and Y will hit store shelves around the world on October 12th.
